Although I wonder if my appearance may have changed, currently, I have long-ish caramel blond hair and silver-blue eyes. I stand five feet, two inches tall at my age of twelve. My favorite book is Keeping the Moon, by Sarah Dessen. My least favorite thing to do is clean my room. Some of my many activities are soccer, ski racing, music lessons, and tennis. I play soccer for Mequon select. I really like my team with my friends from St. Monica’s and USM, yet, my coach, Fabian is nasty and obnoxious. I ski race for Heiliger Huegel (Holy Hill) Ski Club. I carpool there and back with my friends Brooke, Isaac, and Parker. I take music lessons with Mr. Theiss, and play guitar for mass with seven other seventh graders. During the summer, I take lessons at the Town Club in Fox Point with three of my summer friends. Three major issues in our world now, are the oil spill in the Gulf, the disasters in Haiti, and the sinkhole in Guatemala. The oil spill is causing major problems in the Gulf. It is not only disrupting wildlife, it is taking jobs from local fishermen. The oil is spreading all across the Gulf and destroying nature in its path. The disasters in Haiti are endless. Many people have lost their lives to this awful disaster. People in Haiti are struggling to recover after the powerful earthquake. The earthquake and its aftershocks have left the nation deprived of jobs, homes, etc. The sinkhole in Guatemala is 66 feet across and plunges nearly 100 feet down. Police and soldiers guarded around the sinkhole to prevent the curious from getting too close. Most people living nearby moved out, afraid the hole will expand and collapse more homes. Lumen Christi has many very interesting classes and activities. Science is my favorite class. We do many lab experiments to learn more about the interests of science. The class that challenges me the most is Civics. Although the tests and quizzes are difficult, Mr. Carloni assigns easy textbook pages. (I have learned…) Our school offers many fall and spring sports. Some examples are volleyball in the fall and tennis in the spring. School Volleyball is so much fun. This was our first year having two teams! In eighth grade, I hope to have all of the girls split up in to two teams because I get more of a chance to play. Tennis is also split up into A and B teams. It is only for seventh and eighth graders. I was unfortunately on the B team, but it was still fun. In the years ahead, I hope to become very successful in my reading skills and in preparing for tests and quizzes. By the time I am in high school, I want to do very well with my academic and extra curricular scores. In college, I want to major in interior designer. Most kids wonder what they what to be when they grow up, yet I wonder about picking the right job. Two of my ideas now are being an interior designer or a veterinarian. I hope to make and keep good friends that will help me enjoy my journey through life.
It doesn't matter how many years you have in your life, it matters how much life you put in those years.

Letter to Self
